Changelog

What changed on JSONSwitcher. Newest first.

October 2026

  • New: JSON Minifier with live validation, error line and column, and bytes saved.
  • New: MySQL to JSON for mysqldump files, mysql client output and JSON_ARRAYAGG export queries.
  • Fixed: XML to JSON, JSON to JSON Schema and PHP to JSON did not run.
  • Fixed: SQL to JSON no longer turns 1 and 0 into true and false; quoted values always stay strings.
  • Fixed: leading zeros (postcodes, phone numbers, codes such as 01234) are kept in CSV, Excel, HTML, INI and .env to JSON.
  • Fixed: integers larger than 253 (64-bit IDs) are no longer rounded.
  • Fixed: JSON to XML always produces a single root element; HTML to JSON handles merged cells (colspan and rowspan); Markdown to JSON handles escaped pipes; TOML to JSON reads multi-line arrays and dotted keys; .env to JSON reads multi-line values; INI to JSON reads PHP-style arrays.
  • Fixed: Java to JSON and Dart to JSON include primitive fields (int, boolean, double); JSON to Swift escapes reserved names; JSON to Kotlin uses Long for 64-bit numbers; JSON to GraphQL generates valid input types; GraphQL to JSON supports enums, interfaces, unions and recursive types; JSON Schema to JSON resolves $ref.
  • Improved: invalid JSON (single quotes, trailing commas, comments, Python literals) is repaired automatically, with a notice. Non-UTF-8 files (Windows-1252, UTF-16) are detected. JSON to PDF supports Cyrillic, Greek and extended Latin text.
  • Security: updated SheetJS (0.20.3), PDF.js (6.4), jsPDF (4.2.1) and js-yaml (4.3.2), now hosted on our own server.
